More than 40 disability organisations across Australia have endorsed a Joint Position Statement from the Disabled People’s Organisation (DPO) Australia, which calls on the NDIA “to develop a comprehensive sexuality policy to continue reasonable and necessary support for sexual expression through NDIS funding”.

This week, a unanimous federal court ruling found that NDIS funds could be used to access specialist sex therapy and sex worker services.

  • To support safety
  • Find safe ways to have conversations
  • For learning

Bill Shorten MP, Shadow Minister for the NDIS and former Opposition Leader, has reiterated the disability sector’s calls for two disability royal commissioners to be stood down due to a “recent, extensive and significant” conflict of interest.
