The Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability has today released the draft Commissioners’ Report of Public hearing 12: The experiences of people with disability, in the context of the Australian Government’s approach to the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

The Australian Government is proposing changes to the legislation underpinning the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to make processes easier and better for NDIS participants.

These changes are directly informed by the outcomes of the 2019 independent review of the NDIS legislation, conducted by Mr David Tune AO PSM.

Community Coalition Demands Immediate Action To Vaccinate People With Disability Against COVID-19. An alliance of disability representative organisations has joined forces to pressure Australia’s governments to better prioritise people with disability in their vaccine rollout programs.

ISO, the International Organization for Standardization develop and publish International Standards.

They recognised the need to remove unnecessary barriers to tourism. So they have developed and published the first International Standard to help make travel accessible.

Dignified dying has long been a topic of discussion not only in Australia but around the world. Until recently, it was just that, a topic of discussion. Now it seems South Australia may be leading the charge with new Assisted Dying Laws passed through parliament late last month.
